And All That Good Stuff

And all that good stuff
Wednesday I ran into an obstacle, one of my main problems and that’s transportation. I didn’t know that Maddie wasn’t going into site that day so I was left stranded at school. Well I wasn’t stranded, I was more stuck than stranded. If I didn’t have to go to site I would have to go home. Another problem, I have no way of getting home, I have to take the school bus in order to get to school and back. This was one of my fears. I tried to call someone that I know who could pick me up and bring me to site or at home. Sadly she was “too busy” to pick me up (Even though I knew she was just lying there in bed). I argued with her for a couple of minutes and then she said she can see what she could do, She never came to pick me up. Pat in the kindness of her heart let me stay in her room for that time being and thank her for that.

Thursday I talk to Ryan about my position with my transportation. Before my advisor, Amy and I planed that I could take the COTA to get me to my Walkabout site, or get a ride from Maddie since we do go to the same place, but yesterday the cards were not working in my favor. So Ryan printed out the time table from COTA’s website and that help me out a bunch. We also talked about time schedule, like what my hours are going to be like and then he suggest that I could just go to site on Tuesdays and Thursday s and work there for 7hours for both, plus I would there for the weekends as well. It sounds like a great idea to me. I would go through the hassle of finding a ride on Mon, Weds, and Fri. When I arrived at site, it was like I have never left, but I did more things around the area. I had to cut out the paper for the flowers for the Snow White play. It doesn’t sound like much but in actuality it was. The paper I had to cut was as big as a refrigerator and the paper cut outs had to be 4”x4”. It took me a long while to finish that task.

Saturday I had to take the ACTs at Bishop Watterson. I wasn’t as prepared as I wanted to be. Os I might need to take it again. When I called my mother to come and pick me up she told me she was busy, hmmm, where have I heard this before? I specifically told her that I would finish at 1:00 and I need to be at site for 2:00. She said with a soft voice that she was at Bob Evans and her food wasn’t there yet, so I would have to wait a while. I wanted to scream, this was a bunch of CRAP! I couldn’t believe it. This time I was stranded I almost didn’t have a way home. Then I sent my best friend a message saying “S.O.S I’m stranded on a island” So I finally received a ride thanks to her and arrived at site a couple minutes early. YAY ME! So while I was there I help Geoff do some blocking of the play Antigone with one of the under studies, since one of the members was dropped out of the play. So when one of the players wasn’t there I had to stand in for one of them. It was about 2:15 when Maddie arrived there and them I helped her with the measuring, and wow that was awkward we had to get the inseam from the players, and that’s when you measure from their crotch to their ankle. Maddie just let them hold the measuring tape and then read the measurement.

This is like forever late. But I thought I should share my abandonment story with you....
One time my dad forgot me at OWjL camp in Delaware Ohio. The end.
I was the only camper left waiting in my deserted dorm, I was afraid I'd have to stay the night.
I'm glad that you got to site. My mom abandoned me at the SAT's at Ohio State. I didn't have a cell phone and the closest pay phone was at the UDF on campus so I had to walk like a half mile to the UDF buy a lolly pop (to break a dollar) and use the change to yell at her for not loving me (although I was being kind of over dramatic, I'm sure your mom loves you.)
